U.S. District Judge Mary Murguia of Arizona was among the five latest judicial nominees gaining Senate confirmation as the lame duck session of Congress wound down Wednesday, our sibling publication The Blog of Legal Times reports.
Murguia, who was nominated to the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in April, will fill the vacancy created when Judge Michael Daly Hawkins took senior status.
Also of note, U.S. District Judge Kathleen O'Malley of Ohio was confirmed to the Federal Circuit.
