Wannabe deal lawyers in the Valley and elsewhere can count on their iPhone and Latham & Watkins to provide a little jargon assistance during their burgeoning careers.
The firm, which produced an analog copy of a deal term glossary in 2008, recently received the blessing from Apple to distribute their guide in the preeminent iPhone app market. The Book of Jargon, according to sister publication The Am Law Daily, defines "over 750 financial, legal and regulatory terms used by capital markets and banking lawyers."
Latham capital markets co-chair Kirk Davenport says the app is being downloaded worldwide — as far as Kazhakstan, even.
