The search for Judy Johnson’s successor is officially under way.
The State Bar of California announced today that The Hawkins Co. of Los Angeles has begun a national search for a new executive director. Johnson resigned under pressure in January [reg req] and is expected to leave early next year — if not sooner.
State Bar President Howard Miller has said he hopes to have an executive director on board by September.
According to the State Bar’s press release, qualifications for the job include a minimum of 10 years of senior-level management responsibility, experience managing a complex organization with an elected board and, ideally, a master’s degree in business or public administration.
