John Wahl, Lawyer to Harvey Milk, Dead at 76

On the eve of the state’s first Harvey Milk Day on Saturday, when several events are scheduled in San Francisco’s Castro district to honor the legendary gay rights leader who was assassinated in 1978, news came out that Milk’s former lawyer, John Wahl, has died in Palm Springs.

The weekly Bay Area Reporter broke the story in this week’s edition.
