Chris Kelly’s personal bank account has catapulted the Facebook executive into the fundraising lead in the crowded race for attorney general, according to records filed with the state on Monday.
The Peninsula Democrat raised $2.1 million between Jan. 1 and March 17, thanks largely to the $2 million Kelly poured into his own campaign this month. Kelly reported $3.4 million on hand through mid-March.
The three-month take and cash-on-hand figures reported by other Democratic AG candidates are:
Kamala Harris: $414,974 ($1.4 million)
Ted Lieu: $184,647 ($1.1 million)
Rocky Delgadillo: $124,591 ($1.1 million)
Alberto Torrico: $141,029 ($1 million)
Pedro Nava: $36,125 ($43,921)

The fundraising totals for the other GOP candidates are:
