A jury found in favor of Botox-maker Allergan this week, declining to hold the company liable for the death of a 7-year-old cerebral palsy sufferer who was administered the drug to treat muscle spasms.
The case, believed to be the first of its kind according to the Los Angeles Times, ended shortly after the Food and Drug Administration ordered Allergan to label the drug with a warning about the risks associated with "off-label" use of the drug.
The jury, however, found the company's previous warning policy to be adequate.
With all due respect to Justice Scalia,the genius of our Founding Fathers was that they realized the self-evident Truth that our Right to Life, Liberty, and The Pursuit of Happiness depends on the recognition that these Rights have been endowed to us from God and are thus unalienable. These Rights remain unalienable despite what some "evolutionist" may erroneously try to argue.
