The lawyer for Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician who authorities believe had an involvement in the death of pop star Michael Jackson, is telling the press that negotiations between his client and prosecutors broke down when the former refused to pose for a handcuffed photo op.
According to L.A. Now, law enforcement sources had claimed that the doctor had objected to making a formal court appearance. Murray's attorney called those allegations "bullcrap."
“I told them there is no way that I’m going to let my client sit in jail so you can have your show and parade him into court in handcuffs,” [Murray's attorney Ed] Chernoff said. “That’s when they pulled the plug.”
Prosecutors are now saying they'll file charges against Murray on Monday.

I appreciate how the good doctor's attorney is standing up to the system, and at the same time, his attorney is not interested in making this high-profile case about himself being in the media. The defense attorney is zealously advocating for his client. He should be commended.

I totally agree with the comment above, the attorney seems to be doing a good job for his client, while, if the reports are true, the prosecutors are on an obnoxious ego trip, that at the least should get them taken off the case.
Not to say the doctor is innocent or should not be charged.
