The Sac Bee is reporting that Congresswoman Jackie Speier will not be running to replace current-AG Jerry Brown (free reg. req.). The impetus for her decision? Her family.
"They had a family discussion and arrived at a mutual decision that the timing isn't right for her to run for statewide office at this point," [campaign spokesman Nathan] Ballard said.
