Funeral Set for Alameda Judge Barbara Miller

A quick note: The funeral for Judge Barbara Miller will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Chapel of the Chimes at 4499 Piedmont Ave. in Oakland.

Miller, 58, had been the first woman elected presiding judge of the Alameda County Superior Court. She died Friday at her Oakland home. Oakland police say a preliminary autopsy showed that she died of natural causes.
