Nixon Peabody is closer to clinching deals with a group of about 60 Thelen lawyers that we flagged last week.
Partners at Nixon Peabody voted today to admit Thelen San Francisco partner and co-chairwoman of the commercial litigation practice Jennifer Kuenster, San Jose office managing partner Greg O’Hara and New York partner David Graybeal, who is on Thelen's dissolution committee and was co-chairman of the business and finance group there.
Although the numbers are not yet final, between 60 and 90 Thelen partners and associates in the business, intellectual property, litigation and real estate practices could be joining Nixon before Thanksgiving, according to a Nixon spokeswoman. “The numbers are fluctuating,” she said. An unknown number of staffers is also set to join.
The additions will boost Nixon’s Silicon Valley, San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and Shanghai offices, the firm said in a press release, and bring its total lawyer count to about 825.
Kuenster and O’Hara have yet to return LegalPad’s calls for comment. We’ll keep you posted.
