So who in the Bay Area legal community knows John McCain’s surprise veep pick — Sarah Palin, the pro-life, gun-toting governor of Alaska — the best?
Surprisingly it’s dyed-in-the-wool-Democrat plaintiff lawyer Spencer Hosie, who’s been doing legal work for the governor in her efforts to get a natural gas pipeline built in her home state.
“I’m a Democrat trial lawyer, my kid runs a Barack for President web site, but she reached across the aisle for me,” Hosie told Legal Pad Friday.
Hosie told us that Palin was so enamored with the bill that he helped her pass, the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act, that she named her dog after its acronym: AGIA.
Hosie commended Palin for her toughness and genuine character — but does that mean he’s supporting the McCain ticket? Says Hosie: “What do you think?”
